Deep diving opens the door to many activities such as wreck diving or the chance to make great wall dives and to discover corals and marine life that can be found only at deeper depths. There is something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites but without proper training this kind of diving is an uncontrollable safety risk. Whatever it is, if you want to dive with confidence at depths down to 40 meters, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course.
To adhere to the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course you must be at least 15 years old and you must be in the possession of a PADI Adventure Diver certificate or higher or an equivalent certificate of another organization.
Deep diving requires more intensive preparation and planning. To plan you dives properly, you must first know about all the potential risks involved in deep diving.
Your training starts by reviewing the knowledge, dive theory principles and basic information for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits.
What will you learn:
- Techniques for diving in deeper range from 18 meters till 40 meters.
- Specialized deep diving equipment.
- Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.
- Effects of increasing pressure, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.
- Proper surface support.
You will read your manual and watch the DVD before meeting with your instructor in order to plan your deep dives.
The PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course consists of 1 orientation class and 4 deep dives over 2 days.
To follow the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course you need your basic equipment and a dive computer. A dive light and slate can also be recommended. Your instructor can suggest other appropriate gear needed for local deep diving.
The price is not including the manual and the certificate.
This course is designed to familiarize divers with the skills, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of diving in deeper depths.
At the end of this course you will know the skills and knowledge to dive safely in depths till 40 meters.
