Program Details
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is the most challenging and rewarding recreational level training. It will enable you to look beyond yourself and to consider the safety and well being of other divers. Most divers find this course very demanding, both physically and mentally, but also rewarding and at the end they say it is the best course they have ever done. It is a crucial step in your diving education and highly recommended for all divers.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is all about safety and incident management in case something goes wrong. This course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems and how to manage them when they occur.
What are the requirements for this training:
The PADI Rescue Diver Course will teach you how to prevent and manage problems in the water. You will become more confident knowing that you can help other divers if needed.
The PADI Rescue Diver training prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using several techniques. you will learn what to look for and how to respond. You will learn how to assist a tired diver and a panicked diver at the surface. You will practice some search patterns underwater with the aid of a compass to help you locate a missing diver. You will learn how to surface, assess and transport an unconscious diver while performing rescue breathing. Also included in the training are the methods of exiting an unconscious diver from the water.
After you have mastered the key skills, you will put them into practice through rescue scenarios. More important you will also learn that you can do everything reasonably and appropriately, and still have no happy ending.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course takes about days to complete, plus some self study.
You will use your basic equipment and you need a pocket mask to practice in-water resuscitation. During exercises you will learn to work with oxygen units, floats, marker buoys and other necessary equipment.
No rescues are the same, neither are rescuers, so there is no standard way to rescue.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course make you a more aware diver. You are not only focusing on your own safety but also on the safety of other divers.
The manual and the certificate are not included in the price.
Water in my mask? No problem!
